Located in the heart of the Lille university hospital campus, the CRCLille “Lille Cancer Research Center” is a joint research unit whose primary objective is to better understand the mechanisms of resistance and persistence to cancer treatments that lead to relapse and recurrence.

The goal of CRCLille’s researchers and clinicians, who conduct research ranging from basic to preclinical to clinical studies, is to restore the tumor’s sensitivity to treatment through a better understanding of these mechanisms, the development of innovative technologies, use of artificial intelligence, and development of therapeutic innovations.Our research should lead to the development of new more effective and targeted treatments (personalized mediciner) for a better care of cancer patients by reducing drug resistance and increasig survival rates.

The CRCLille research unit consists of 11 teams (DISCO, EpiCARe, IoniC, NMD, ONCOTHAI, PancResT, Perstim, Plasticity, Protect-L, SenFib, Target) that develop specific and complementary expertise, skills, and know-how to meet these scientific objectives. CRCLille is part of the ONCOLille institute, which conducts interdisciplinary research on resistance to therapies combining biology, physics, chemistry, mathematics, bioinformatics, economics, health technologies, and humanities and social sciences, thanks to the other laboratories present in the institute (IEMN, LEM, LPP, PRISM, SCAlab, UGSF) by implementing strong basic and translational/preclinical research to facilitate the transition of our discoveries to clinical practice.
